FiSCA opposes rate and fee regulation at the federal level, and works closely with local, state and federal government to ensure the integrity of the check cashing and deferred deposit industries.  FiSCA continues to be active in areas of money laundering and was invited to work with the Treasury's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FINCEN) in creating these new laws and policies.  Recently, in conjunction with EFT 99 FiSCA submitted comments to the Department of the Treasury in response to "Possible Regulation Regarding Access to Accounts at Financial Institutions Through Payment Service Providers."
