The FiSCA National
Scholarship Program is available to benefit deserving
college-bound high school seniors from families in areas served by its
members. Funding for the National Scholarship Program is provided by
voluntary contributions from FiSCA members and affiliate members,
including MoneyGram International and Western Union.
The FiSCA National Scholarship Program
awards cash grants of at least $2,000 to two students selected from each
of five geographic regions across the nation. Criteria is based on
academic achievement, leadership skills in school and the community,
perseverance in the face of significant obstacles, and an essay written
expressly for the competition.
FiSCA has awarded more than $734,500 in scholarship awards to 327
deserving students from across the country since the inception of the
program in 1999. In 2012, $74,500 in scholarships was awarded at the
FiSCA Annual Conference! Read the press
release on the 2012 awardees. The deadline for the 2013
scholarships has passed. Thanks to all of the telented high school
seniors who submitted applications this year. We received a record
number of more than 2,000 applications from across the
country! Scholarship winners will be notified in early June, and a
complete list of winners will be posted on this page by
mid-June. The application for the 2014 scholarship program will be
